This construction project provides for the improvement of approximately 2500 linear feet of Minor Road between Allen Street and Mt. Brynion Street. Work will include grading, storm sewer, curb, gutter and pathway construction, storm facility construction and planting, replacement of existing pavement, erosion control, pavement marking, signing, an illumination system, and a full reconstruction and deep patch of approximately 300 feet of full width roadway and other work.

MINOR RD IMPROVEMENTS CONSTRUCTION

During the week of July 10th, Advanced Excavating Specialists, LLC of Longview, WA, under contract to the City of Kelso, will begin a construction project to improve Minor Rd. from Allen St. to Mt. Brynion St. Inspection, marking, and other preparatory work has already begun. Construction will occur during daylight hours and should continue through the end of September.

This work will create disruptions to the flow of traffic.  Detours, as needed, will redirect traffic around or through the work area.  A full two-week closure will occur prior to the start of the new school year. The City will provide advanced notification of that closure as soon as we are able to determine its exact timeframe.  We will also provide regular updates to the City’s webpage and Facebook page.

Unfortunately, traffic disruption is an expected consequence of construction.  The City will work to minimize any inconveniences. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.
